And…a little pre-game snack

Good Luck to the Tigers tonight!

Emery is full of energy these days. He’s incredibly curious and on this particular day made his way around the house practicing his unloading skills.

Emery has been fascinated by our screened in porch lately. If only he knew how funny he is…

He loved the cake - Thanks, Aunt Emily! We had a great time with the family. Brenna and Joseph have been counting down the days and Wednesday finally came….our sweet baby boy turned one today! The kids had fun making a sign for Emery as well as party hats to help celebrate.

Ok, so I know you’re all anxiously awaiting more pictures. I’ll be uploading from my camera momentarily. But, in the mean time I’ve got a favor to ask. I joined an exercise program around Thanksgiving (baby weight, be gone!) and also volunteered to be a part of the charity weight loss program. ”What’s that?” you might be wondering. It means that I committed to lose weight and get friends and family to sponsor me $1 per pound. Well, true to my fabulous form, I forgot to ask. So, here’s me asking….way late. I weigh in tomorrow to find out how much I’ve officially lost. I’m guessing it’s around 10 pounds and all of the proceeds go to a local organization that supports homeless families transitioning back into a stable environment. Hooray for losing 10 pounds, hooray for organizations that help those in need and hooray for you guys who are graciously volunteering to help support me and in turn families in my community!! I know you’re out there…even you guys who lurk and don’t usually respond. So, if you’ve got the $10 to spare and happen to be checking in within a week or so of me posting this, please say you’ll be a sponsor!!! Thanks and I really will post pictures of the little guy soon. Love you guys!!
It’s been too long since I posted pictures. The more time that passes the more overwhelming it becomes. There are so many good ones from the holidays! So this will have to do for now - I don’t want to play catch up tonight.
Communication!!! This is Emery telling us that he wants more of whatever we’re feeding him. He uses this sign often. Sometimes I think he signs “more” to get out of whatever were doing that he doesn’t like….they learn fast!!
It snowed here this week. Strange!
Brock wasn’t home - so, this is my attempt at a picture of us together….
Emery thought the snow was fun until his hands got wet and cold.
This was Wednesday night in our backyard.
I made a snow man to take a picture with Emery the next morning….his head fell off during the night, not as cute of a picture!
